Senior Operational Analyst in Reconciliation (NAM Portugal)

The position is for the candidate who is interested in operations and investment processes and wants to gain insights in to the value chain of the largest Asset Manager in the Nordics. We are looking for a mid-level profile to the following team: Backoffice Reconciliation team. The team is responsible for all operational matters on reconciliation – creating the foundation on which investment decisions, performance calculations and accounting are based. We reconcile cash and security transactions and activity from funds, institutional clients and endowments, supporting documentation and resolving any discrepancies that are discovered in the process.

About this opportunity

You will join Back Office and be a central part of the Asset Management value chain under Operations & Technology (O&T). Nordea Asset Management is responsible for all managed investment products in Nordea Asset Management and support the development, implementation, running, support and management of our asset management product offering. Back Office consists of five different departments and app. 50 people located in Copenhagen and Lisbon. The role is based in Quinta da Fonte (Oeiras).

• Take ownership within a scope of activity with the daily operational tasks. 
• On a daily basis interact with both internal- and external business units.
• You will contribute to developing efficient and scalable processes.
• Work with data and analysis.

Your experience and background:

• You have +4 years’ experience within finance industry or accounting.
• You have a positive and self-guided approach to learning and acquiring new skills.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English is a prerequisite.
• The ability to work structured and result-oriented, both in teams and individually.
• You have interest in data/data analytics.
