Join our growing Infrastructure Finance team focused on delivering innovative financing solutions to our PE/Infrastructure Fund client base. As an Associate Director/Director in the Infrastructure Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex transactions as well as further developing this strategically prioritized growth area of Nordea.

The Infrastructure Finance team is responsible for the origination, arranging, structuring, underwriting and execution of a variety of financing transactions for our Infrastructure Fund clients. With responsibilities including transactions as well as coverage of infrastructure sponsors, we offer our clients a broad range of financing solutions. The Infrastructure Finance team comprises a dedicated group of professionals working across the Nordics, and forms part of the wider Leveraged Finance team of around 50 professionals. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, deep industry knowledge and commitment to excellence.

The opportunity

The role is based in Stockholm but you will be part of our pan-Nordic team of highly skilled professionals who always strive to provide our clients with best possible advice and service.

In this role, you will be contributing to the team’s success by:

• Being part of our dedicated sponsor coverage for infrastructure sponsors
• Taking ownership and leading origination efforts for specific projects and clients
• Leading deal teams as deal captain, taking ownership of the full deal execution process, both internally and with clients
• Leading negotiations and work with legal counsels to ensure appropriate structuring / documentation
• Interacting with infrastructure private equity sponsors, management teams and Nordea internal stakeholders
• Driving high-quality transaction materials, including credit memorandums, pitches and other presentations and relevant materials
• Support monitoring of the infrastructure portfolio, contributing to reporting and quarterly management updates

Desired skills and experience:

• Proven track record of originating and executing infrastructure finance transactions within the Nordics and Europe with approximately 7-10 years of experience
• Strong understanding of credit markets, legal documentation, investor dynamics and rating processes, with execution experience from project finance and/or infrastructure finance
• Ability to direct and lead the transaction process with internal and external parties, including debt structuring, deal selection and handling RFPs
• Strong skill set in transaction project management, legal documentation and financial modelling as well as client coverage
• Motivated team player, ability to lead a team and be flexible in approach with interest to work independently and adapt to different financing products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently present ideas to internal and external stakeholders in a clear, concise and constructive manner
• Manage, mentor and develop Associates and Analysts, providing clear feedback, training and oversight on deliverables
• Excellent academic background and/or equivalent work experience.
