About this opportunity

Welcome to the Business Continuity & Crisis Management department. This position will help strategically manage the test and exercise recovery needs for BCCM ensuing Nordea can react, recover and resume business following a potential disruption or crises. To achieve this, you will help build upon an already existing programme to make test and exercising even more comprehensive and effective. 

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive both disciplines strategically within our unit; Business Continuity Management (BCM) exercises with the Business Areas and Crisis Management (CM) exercises for the CM Teams 
  • Develop exercise scenarios that encompasses multiple units and/or divisions which would comprehensively test but in turn stretch our banks recovery capabilities
  • Drive and facilitate large scale BCCM exercises that might span across multiple processes, activities and dependencies
  • Evaluate these large scale exercises ensuring pre-exercises actions and post-exercises activities are completed appropriately
  • Develop and maintain a BCCM testing and exercise programme that includes comprehensive testing of an end to end series of process / activities undertaken by different departments
  • Collaborate with and participate in tests and exercises within the IT continuity sphere


The role is based in Gothenburg/Göteborg; Gdynia; Helsinki; Malmö; Stockholm; Warszawa; Łódź.

  • Are fluent in English with superior oral, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Think critically and are able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions
  • A relevant professional certification in business continuity management is a plus


Your experience and background: 

  • Graduate degree and/or relevant professional consultancy experience within business continuity management or as a business risk manager
  • Experience in designing, facilitating and evaluating business continuity, crisis management or IT continuity management exercises
  • Experience in advanced simulation or from sector wide or exercises within the financial sector is advantageous
  • Experience working for a regulated company (preferably financial services firm) would be beneficial
  • An approachable personality with demonstrated ability to effectively teach, inspire and influence across functions and enterprise-wide
