This role is about creating high-impact content and creative messaging that enhance Nordea’s brand presence and build strong connections with key audiences.
We are seeking a talented and conceptually driven copywriter to craft compelling and engaging written content that brings our brand, products, and customer stories to life. In this pivotal role, you will shape our external-facing storytelling and narratives in ways that deeply resonate with customers, clients, employees, partners, and the broader financial services market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative messaging, advertising copy and brand stories across multiple channels
- Generate copy and messaging strategies aligned with business and brand objectives to keep our content fresh, relevant, and effective.
- Develop, write, edit, and proofread advertising, digital, social media, and marketing materials, ensuring clarity, tone of voice and brand consistency
- Play a key part in the prompting engineering when localizing messaging for different markets and using AI as an enabler for personalization at scale
- Collaborate with creative, marketing, and brand teams to deliver high-quality content
- Ensure all content adheres to Nordea’s brand voice and guidelines
- Stay ahead of trends, consumer insights, media and cultural shifts to keep our creative output fresh and apply innovative thinking to keep creative output relevant for key target audiences
- Take part in creative processes, from ideation and conceptual development through to drafting, refining, and delivering strong storytelling and polished copy across a variety of channels and formats.
- Ensure written content reflects our tonality and brand guidelines while maintaining a high standard of narrative consistency.
- Collaborate closely with creatives, marketing, communications, brand teams, and other subject matter experts to shape narratives that support our strategic goals and compliance standards.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a passion for creativity and copywriting, with a desire to elevate brand and customer experiences in alignment with our brand positioning.
- Extensive experience in advertising, copywriting, and concept development for various brands, ideally within creative agencies working with global brands.
- Expertise and award-winning advertising experience that will empower you to translate complex financial topics into clear, accessible, and emotionally engaging narratives that create attention and inspire action.
- Proven track record in generating creative communication concepts and strategic platforms for a diverse range of channels - digital, social media, live experiences, print, and beyond.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative excellence, strategic thinking and breakthrough ideas exemplifying your own copywriting work.
- Experience working with multicultural teams with strong skills in communication, narrative development, presenting ideas, and fostering professional relationships.
- Ability to balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution when crafting messages.
- Proficient on Nordic market trends, consumer behaviors, and youth culture.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Advertising, Creative and Digital Development
- 7-10+ years of Marketing Communication experience, working as a copywriter for at least 5 years of agency/in-house or freelance experience.
- Proven ability to develop fully integrated omnichannel brand concepts from briefing to final production.
- Be capable of managing multiple projects concurrently with ownership and accountability.
- Experienced in handling fast-paced campaigns with tight deadlines and rapid turnaround times.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Fluent writer in English and at least one Scandinavian language with a proven ability to write creatively and persuasively in at least one of the languages.
- Used to communicate, ideate, create plans, presentations, and creative writing in English (which is our corporate language).
