We are looking for a an experienced tax specialist with strong analytical skills to join Nordea Group Tax in an important role of managing and supporting Nordea in Swedish corporate income tax matters.
About our team
Welcome to Group Tax at Nordea! We add value by setting the framework for management of Nordea Group’s tax matters, by monitoring the tax risks and costs for the Group and by providing tax legal advise in strategic projects within the Group. As a tax professional, you’ll play a key role in shaping the policies and processes in relation to Swedish corporate income taxation.
Group Tax acts as a central competence center and internal tax advisor on corporate income tax, indirect tax, operational tax and transfer pricing matters. We prepare global policies, instructions and guidelines and provide recommendations in order to ensure consistency and synergies on how tax risks and costs are managed within Nordea. The team supports CFOs, branch managers and other stakeholders with tax legal advice to ensure compliance, risk mitigation and correct reporting of taxes.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Provide specialist tax advice to ensure compliance and to support robust business decisions.
- Participate in the periodic and annual analysis of Nordea Group’s effective tax rate and support the group entities in the tax reporting process.
- Act as a dialogue partner with relevant tax authorities.
- Manage and coordinate support in tax audits and litigations to ensure high quality outputs and mitigation of tax risks.
- Monitor, analyse and support the implementation of tax regulatory changes impacting Nordea, including Pillar Two/GloBE framework.
- Maintain and develop the Group’s tax policies and guidelines, as well as organise training in tax issues to enhance knowledge in the organisation.
The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Who you are

- In-depth knowledge of Swedish corporate income taxation and detailed understanding of international corporate income tax principles.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Commitment to continuously developing your professional skills, competences, knowledge and commercial understanding.
- Collaborative and proactive working style, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all organisational levels.
- Solid project management and prioritisation skills, with a structured, self-driven and solution-oriented approach.
- Sense of ownership of tasks and results.
- Interest in tax technology and digital solutions, with the ability to leverage technology to automate and enhance tax processes, reporting, and compliance.
Your background and skills include:
- Master’s degree with specialisation in law, accounting and/or finance
- At least 7 years of experience in working with Swedish corporate income tax matters in a multinational group or in a Big4 consultancy firm
- Professional level of spoken and written English is required
- Experience from financial sector is considered an advantage.
