Are you a graduate with an IT background or an IT/Data analyst looking to build competence in data management? 

We are now looking for a motivated Data Steward to support implementation of data governance initiatives, maintain business critical data with a view to improve data quality and reduce risk, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

About this opportunity
 

Welcome to AWM COO in the Application Portfolio and Data Management team. You’ll join AWM COO, a professional, fun and collaborative unit striving to “make it happen” – delivering excellence through tangible results. This will be a unique opportunity for you to grow your career not only in Nordea but also in data governance.
 

What you’ll be doing:
 

  • You will be responsible for metadata maintenance and documentation, implementing data quality controls and supporting risk mitigation activities
  • You will be responsible for performing BAU activities such as extracting data sets, configuring rules in relevant systems, and supporting with data classification and naming
  • You will implement and be responsible for deliveries in various projects and initiatives in the bank
  • You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders and contribute to developing communication materials, training, instructions on data usage


The role is based in Stockholm or Helsinki.

  • You have good English skills, both written and orally.


 Your experience and background:
 

  • You have a minimum of 1 year relevant experience working with data in business, project or data management related role (or equivalent coursework experience)
  • Experience working with data quality, standards or controls
  • Work experience using SQL (or equivalent coursework experience)
  • Knowledge of savings products and business model is an advantage
