Director in Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Financing, LC&I
We are looking for a Director that can drive our Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Financing (“REIF”) with a focus on Sweden but also participate in Nordic projects and initiatives to enhance Nordea’s capabilities and presence in the field. You will be responsible for accelerating our commercial efforts as well as leading internal processes and execution of loan transactions.
About our team
You will join the Debt Solutions & Loans (“DSL”) team in Stockholm which is responsible for arranging, structuring and executing a variety of debt transactions, including corporate acquisition financing, project finance deals as well as other types of complex debt transactions to our corporate clients. The DSL team operates out of the Nordic capitals and consist of ca 40 professionals.
Within DSL, we have established REIF which is a cross Nordic center of excellence to support our corporate clients with funding and advice in relation to the sustainable transition and to accelerate Nordea’s active role in this space. The initiative encompasses a wide range of projects in renewable energy, such as wind parks, solar parks and battery storage. Infrastructure projects, such as smart grids that combine local energy production with local energy consumption as well as data centers, are also in focus.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Drive our commercial effort in Sweden by identifying growth opportunities in collaboration with relevant client units
- Lead origination and deal sourcing towards corporate clients for REIF deals e.g. non-recourse project finance transactions
- Be responsible for the execution phase including deal structuring and documentation
- Manage and develop credit approval process together with deal team
- Develop our offer and capabilities within REIF in collaboration with other members of the REIF centre of excellence
Who you are
- Experience and a strong interest in working with project and infrastructure finance
- 8+ years of relevant work experience, primarily from Investment Banking, Buy-side, Private Equity or similar
- Fluent in English and Swedish
- Working independently and with different challenging engagements while still maintaining a high degree of quality is an important success factor
