We are currently looking for a motivated and dynamic person to join our Capital Management Software Development team at Nordea. In our team, we pride ourselves on engineering solutions and direct Nordea’s transformation by providing a holistic technological view and structured understanding of the bank, and its surrounding environment to enable the Customer Vision and the Business Strategy.

 

We are now looking for a expert data engineer to join our journey to develop and implement changes in the Capital and Risk Train area. Our team’s role is to add value by providing the required engineering capabilities and expertise in different technologies to enable delivering the Capital Management agenda through the Capital and Risk Train (CART).

The team is located in Sweden and Poland, and this position is located in Stockholm, Sweden or Gdansk/ Gdynia, Poland.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide technical counselling across all aspects of our end-to-end data architecture. This includes not only overseeing database design and platform architecture but also guiding the selection of tools that strike the right balance between scalability, cost-efficiency, and long-term maintainability
  • Designing, developing and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines that are secure, scalable, and reliable. By leveraging our existing toolset and rigorously adhering to our internal standards in the Capital and Risk Train
  • Participate in major improvements and development tasks to support own unit to add value, and deliver according to targets
  • Proactively share own knowledge and IT competencies, both on a cross unit and cross border basis to enable the continuing strengthening of competencies
  • Interest in or experience with AI-enabled analytics, automation and improvements.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

  • Strong technical expertise in designing and implementing complex datawarehousing solutions & products
  • Professional experience in analytical tools and languages such as SQL and Python
  • Experience working with various types of databases: Relational database (SQL), NoSQL database, Data warehousing (ideally Snowflake) 
  • Professional experience and/or knowledge of Agile, Scrum or SAFe including BizDevOps
  • Academic degree in computer sciences, mathematics or engineering
  • Having good understanding of Regulatory Reporting for European Banks
  • Full proficiency in spoken and written English

 

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Have professional experience working with Snowflake and AI coding assistance
