About this opportunity

Welcome to the Local Systems team. We add value by providing stable, efficient and innovative IT services in the mainframe area, including Account, Payment, Customer Data and Loan systems, serving virtually all other business areas of the bank. As an Expert IT Analyst you will play a vital role in designing and building Nordea’s fundamental banking applications, guiding stakeholders and developers into choosing optimal solutions.

What you will be doing

• Analyse, develop and implement the architectural roadmap of the fundamental banking applications in the Local Systems SE system portfolio
• Analyse and document requirements together with stakeholders, enhance into detailed IT requirements, and verify implementations
• Cooperate with many colleagues within Local Systems and other system areas, such as developers, architects, testers, business requestors as our system portfolio is interfacing with most of Nordea’s applications
• Focus on delivering high quality solutions in an agile way
• Developing the internal working procedures of the unit
• Assist our Scrum Master in taking responsibility for the whole team’s development portfolio and act as driver

You'll join a team of highly skilled IT professionals with a huge collective experience of banking systems. Cooperation is well established within the team, and we take a strong personal responsibility for our work. We have a mixed delivery model with a combination of employees as well as consultants from our key partner.

As our applications are extremely central in the Nordea application landscape, managing the interconnectivity with other system areas is of prime importance. The Local Systems application portfolio is built on the IBM z/OS (“Mainframe”) technical platform. To be successful, we believe you are well acquainted with this platform.

• Have the capability to work with English speaking colleagues from all over the world

Your experience and background:

• You are an experienced IT Analyst or IT Architect, with at least five years of experience from Mainframe Development of fundamental banking applications
• You are skilled in and enjoy analysing products and IT solutions, writing requirements, documenting and testing
• You have many years of experience from working with development projects at a large Nordic bank
• You are a fluent English speaker

Furthermore, we expect you to be familiar with several of the following areas:

• Deposit Account Systems
• Basic banking systems in areas like payments, customer, cards, cash pooling etc
• Agile and SAFe Ways of working
• TWS/OPC
