Master/Senior Data Analyst in Financial Crime Prevention

Due to expanding requirements and continued success, we are looking for Master/Senior data analysts to expand our Financial Crime related Data team within FCIIA.

This is a role within a Financial Crime Prevention unit, that looks across a broad spectrum of financial crime activities and focuses on how emerging technologies can enhance our defenses.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing standardised data focused requirements to be implemented by our IT partners.
  • Analysing datasets to validate data sources are ingested as per specification.
  • Identifying complex undocumented relationships across disparate data sources.
  • Implementing complex data solutions to facilitate simplified down-stream consumption.
  • Integrating with large-scale change programmes both upstream and downstream.
  • Documenting data standards, including definitions, business rules and data quality controls.
  • Measuring compliance with the data standards and defined data quality targets.
  • Liaising with Data Owners, architects and analysts to enhance our data offering.
  • Assisting with regulatory focused programmes.
     

The role is available in one of our offices in: London, Stockholm, Helsinki or Tallinn.

The ideal candidate will find that identifying and resolving data issues is something that gives you great satisfaction.
 
Your experience and background: 

  • +5 years of experience within data focused role.
  • Good hands-on level of experience using Excel, SQL, Hadoop, VBA, R and Python etc.
  • Academic degree in quantitative subject, e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance.
  • Excellent English. Meetings, presentations, and written materials are in English as standard.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • You are proactive and bring a strong sense of ownership for your tasks and responsibilities.
  • You understand the principles of working with an Agile development approach.
  • You are excited to share ideas and findings with your team.
