We are looking for an ambitious leader for Container Automation to Platform Engineering, who will work with other engineering team leads, to build the hearth of our Nordea Internal Delivery Platform. Designing, building and automating our Kubernetes clusters in Nordea. Both on-premise and in our cloud environments.

Our role is to provide a scalable and secure container platform that seamlessly integrates on-premise and cloud environments, enabling accelerated application deployment and driving business agility across the company.
You will be leading a team of highly motivated engineers with devotion to technology and problem solving. The role requires to technically lead a team of senior engineers, while being hands on and develop/engineer yourself. The role also requires you to be able to come up with ideas and continues processes improvements, and improvements for how the team works. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to create and execute strategy, and problem solving.

What you’ll be doing
As the Leader for Container Automation, you'll play an important role driving and supporting the Nordea Technology Strategy and journey together with highly skilled colleagues. As a lead you will together with your unit be responsible for building the end-to-end Container orchestration and architecture, which enables Nordea to move towards a more modern automated landscape and ways of working.
With focus on:
- Container orchestration
- Platform Engineering
- Cloud enablers within Kubernetes
- Technology driver and lead
- People leadership and development
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you have:
- Ability to lead other people and make them follow towards the common objectives, experience working regularly with stakeholders (management)
- Hands-on experience and understanding the principles behind Container, DevOps, Blueprinting, Development lifecycle and Lean
- Strong knowledge of Container technologies e.g., Kubernetes, docker, ArgoCD, CNI, Ingress/Egress
- Good understanding of automation tools e.g., Tekton, Ansible, Terraform, Packer, AWX
- Good understanding of cloud and on-prem providers e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare
