Would you like to be part of an exciting business area that advises and partners with the largest corporates and institutions in the Nordics? We are looking for a new Head of Equity Sales & Research  (ES&R) to drive our Nordic equities business to new peaks.

Equity Sales & Research (ES&R) is the market leader in Nordic equities, and we build winning partnerships with our clients through our ability to offer local expertise in the Nordic and internationally. Our platform offers institutional investors access to our equities solutions, incl. cash equities, via a strong sales organisation that is matched by an award winning equity research offering and a strong execution platform. In addition we offer our Corporates Access, incl. the hosting of Nordic roadshows and capital markets days.

  • To be the market leader in Nordic equities and to grow our footprint internationally
  • To augment our Equity platform with the adaptation of AI
  • To deliver strong financial results

 

As the Head of ES&R, you will be responsible for leading a Nordic product responsible unit in support of product offerings to Corporates, Institutions and public sector customers. You will be leading a client centric organisation with a strong performance culture and, as part of your role, you will be responsible for influencing, and delivering on, the strategy and ensuring the buy-in of key stakeholders. You will lead collaboration across the full value chain and contribute to the development of Nordea’s overall competitive advantage.

 

Key focus areas will be:

  • Lead the Nordic ES&R organisation and set the strategic direction for the unit
  • Deliver market leading Equity Research and Equity Sales
  • Build new business opportunities with the US broker dealer license
  • Deliver on the AI Technology strategy
  • Ensure a strong and efficient cooperation within LC&I, CRU’s and across the whole Nordea
  • Lead, motivate and develop your team with passion and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration and growth
  • Ensure the highest standards of compliance with rules and regulations

 

The ES&R organisation consists of more than 100 FTEs with trading floors in all Nordic countries and London.

 

The role is open in all four Nordic countries and the new Head of ES&R will report to Head of Investment Banking & Equities (IB&E), Lars Fischer, and as a member of the IB&E Leadership Team, you will be part of setting and executing the strategic business plan.

Your experience and background:  

  • Deep ES&R business, product and technology knowledge
  • Track record from the large corporates and institutions business
  • Proven experience and passion for creating excellent customer satisfaction
  • Passion for leading, developing and motivating your organisation and people
  • Prior experience of building a culture of inclusion and growth
  • Proven experience in leadership and setting strategic direction
  • Business-minded and result-oriented background
  • Displaying high intellectual capacity and a high level of ambition
  • Superior stakeholder management skills
