We are now looking for a Lead Project Leader to take a senior responsibility in delivery of Capital reporting solutions. In this role you will be responsible for leading the combined effort of all delivery teams in the Capital Management technology area and work closely with the Service Domain management, Product Management and Solution Delivery teams from Group Finance. The Delivery teams consist of people from Nordea and partners in a global delivery logic.

About our team

 

Meet the Capital Management and Financial Reporting Execution Leadership team. Our role is to lead various IT initiatives ensuring that Nordea fulfils relevant regulatory reporting requirements and that technology landscape in our domains will be continuously improved and developed to better meet the future needs.

 

As our Lead Project Leader, you will be working in the Capital management Technology area that is one of the largest service domains in the Finance Service area. We are delivering technology services and developing financial solutions to meet the future needs of the capital management. Through these services we support our business partners in regulatory reporting to deliver capital reporting to both authorities and internally for management decisions.

Main responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the coordinated effort from all teams to deliver technology solutions in close cooperation with the Product Manager and Solution Delivery Lead from business, and ensuring translation of business needs to tangible team objectives and solutions
  • Work closely with the Service Domain management to ensure that shorter term deliveries are well aligned with long term target architecture, and manage stakeholders and successfully orchestrate deliveries according to agreed scope and priorities in a predictable, and transparent manner
  • Report on budget, progress, risks according to Nordea processes, as well as manage risks, dependencies and impediments to ensure teams efficiency
  • Inspire, motivate and coach teams and team members, establish continuous improvements and encourage a growth mindset

 

Who you are

  • A strong drive, are goal-oriented, structured, dedicated and thorough 
  • Genuine interest in learning the business context and technology solution

 

Your background and skills include:

  • 8+ years of professional experience and proven track record from complex IT project management or leading large and complex Agile initiatives, preferably from a Nordic financial institute or similar regulated market
  • Firm grasp of agile methodologies (SAFe/Scrum) and traditional project management to be able to lead efficiently in the hybrid setups
  • Can structure execution logic by leveraging relevant methods of delivery as appropriate - agile and more traditional
  • Experience leading distributed and multi-faceted teams in a global environment
  • A clear understanding of IT processes and the software development lifecycle, and experience in problem solving in complex initiatives

 

It would be ideal if you also have:

  • Worked as a Release Training Engineer (RTE) or Leading Project Leader in a Nordic bank
  • Experience working in the regulatory reporting area
  • Experience as a SPC
