We are looking for a Legal Counsel with experience from working with data privacy legislation to join the Regulatory & Legal Advisory team in Group Legal. About this opportunity
You will join the Regulatory & Legal Advisory team which provides legal advice and support in strategically important regulatory areas such as data privacy, financial crime prevention, bank secrecy, competition & antitrust as well as employment & reward across the Nordea group. You will work closely with team members in the Regulatory & Legal Advisory teams in Denmark, Finland and Norway, other Group Legal units and a wide range of stakeholders within Nordea group.
You will provide legal advice within the data protection area, but also within the other regulatory areas that the Regulatory & Legal Advisory team supports with, such as financial crime and bank secrecy regulations. Curiosity and a general interest in learning more about banking regulations is key to thrive in this role.
The role includes amongst all the following tasks:
- Legal & strategic advisory: Support the business areas and group functions by providing professional legal advice and guidance in relation to the various issues which arise from the day-to-day operations and business
- Legal interpretation: Assessing and informing internal stakeholders on relevant laws, regulations and market practices in order to enhance awareness of legal and regulatory risks and opportunities
- Project management: Participating and managing cross-functional and international regulatory projects, in close collaboration with colleagues across the legal department and other group functions

Your profile and background:
- Swedish or Nordic Master's degree in law
- +2 years of relevant work experience, including experience working with data privacy legislation
- Excellent Swedish and English skills, written and oral
- High level of integrity, analytical and communication skills with the ability to break down complex information in an understandable way
- True team spirit, an open mind and positive attitude
