About this opportunity
Welcome to Nordea’s Digital Sales & Engagement team in Personal Banking – a strong community of experts and people with passion for engaging with customers across digital platforms. Digital Sales & Engagement is responsible for engaging with prospects and customers across the full digital customer journey from external paid channels to our own channels (website and logged-in), as well as through personalized in-app messages, emails and lead generation to physical channels – creating the best-in-class omnichannel customer experiences. Digital Sales & Engagement is on a growth journey and is skilling up during the coming years in order to stay ahead of the competition within the digital banking business.
This is an opportunity for you to make a difference in daily life for all personal customers in Sweden and their experience of Nordea as a digital bank. You will work in Digital Sales & Engagement in close cooperation with digital marketing experts and data analysts, and report to the Head of Digital Customer Engagement in Sweden. You will also be a part of a larger community in Nordea’s Centre of Excellence for MarTech and Customer Engagement, were you will help secure a strong link to peers across the Nordics for development of strategies and best practices. You will work with business stakeholders across Nordea, meet a wide range of profiles; from marketeers, business developers and content creators to data scientists, engineers, IT developers, statisticians and economists. We aim to attract and retain talented high performers by being frontrunners in our area of expertise.
The role is based in Stockholm where we work from the office and have a hybrid set-up.
Your future responsibilities
As the Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be instrumental in planning, designing and executing our sales and marketing activities towards our customers. You will also be incorporating insights, propensity models and other advanced analytics solutions as the foundation for all these activities. As part of the Swedish team of experts from Personal Banking, you will work in an agile environment to boost digital sales & engagement and reach our business targets. You will create excellent customer journeys, as well as being part of an exciting digital transformation of the banking business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Communicate to hundreds of thousands of customers in Sweden on a ongoing basis, impacting their daily life.
- Design, plan, build flows to execute service, care and sales activities towards our customers in our Marketing Automation platform Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- Work with business stakeholders from campaign brief to execution, together with colleagues from different capabilities organized in cross-functional, agile teams, acting as partner to achieve value-driven prioritization among use cases.
- Define target groups, segments and touchpoints in the customer and product journey, orchestrating the different messages across all the channels.
- Create and implement multivariate testing and experimentation strategies to improve campaign performance.
- Measure, manage and analyze the campaign performance in order to gather insights and learnings for maximizing its effectiveness and optimizing the return of investment.
- Support issue resolution in campaigns, channels or integrations, providing requirements for development across all Digital Sales platforms.
- Ensure automation flows work as intended with quality and efficiency; Proactively identify and drive improved ways of working.
- Coordinate and share learnings and best practices with your colleagues across the Nordics.

You have a passion for marketing technology, data, customer engagement and the possibilities connected to these – and you are motivated by learning and finding good and new solutions to how we solve business challenges and customer behaviour with creativity and analytical skills. You are driven by achieving concrete result and see your work materializing in concrete customer engagement, satisfaction and sales. You always focus on execution and how your work can be transferred into real value for our customers by getting things done in a pragmatic way. You feel exited about being part of building and establishing a new area of digital engagement within Nordea.
Your profile and background:
- You have proven experience with omni-channel campaign development and orchestration using database marketing solutions such us Adobe Campaign/Experience Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SAS 360/Marketing Automation, Oracle Eloqua or similar.
- You keep yourself updated on the evolution of MarTech, customer sentiment and the competitive landscape to continuously stay relevant.
- You have experience in analysis and reporting with direct SQL or using BI tools such as PowerBI, Adobe Analytics, QlikSense - or to produce and present insights to different audiences on commercial activities.
- You might have experiences from setting up a marketing automation function in a smaller company or start-up, or have been part of scaling up a similar function/team.
- Preferably, you have experience with working in Agile teams or SAFe.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish & English (professional level).
- You probably hold a degree in Marketing Automation, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or similar, but can potentially also have a background in applying analytics for sales and marketing activities.
