We are looking for a GFCP Master Expert in Data Quality Management to join Group Financial Crime Prevention.

Within Group Financial Crime Prevention (GFCP), the establishment of Financial Crime Application and Data (FCAD) started 2022. One of the areas under that unit is the Financial Crime Data Strategy Team. Now that team is starting to be built. About This Opportunity

 

With us you will have the chance to use the latest ideas, in combination with Nordea internal instructions, for how to develop, implement and run our Data Quality Management cross GFCP. Together with your colleagues you will define what first-class data quality and management looks like at GFCP and will work to embed best practice within the organisation to achieve sought result.

 
We endeavour to continually make improvements to ensure efficiency and on-going compliance with regulatory requirements and deliver solutions and services that help proactively prevent financial crime.

 

You will champion, train and direct colleagues in how to get the most from data, ensuring data is efficiently and effectively captured, processed, stored and disposed of. In this role you will work very closely with all facets of the organisation including the data protection office to enhance and ensure good data management, in line with appropriate regulative requirements (e.g. GDPR).

 

You’ll join a very highly skilled, passionate and forward thinking financial crime prevention team that has a key common drive to protect Nordea, its customers and, society at large. The role is based in Helsinki, Oslo or Stockholm.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Engage in the design the future of the Financial Crime Data Quality framework and execution, working with other Financial Crime units to implement.

  • Leading data quality activities, ensuring we understand and document data critical to financial crime, and progress data initiatives to improve the understanding, accuracy, validity, quality, lineage and effectiveness of data key to Financial Crime systems and processes.

  • From a data quality perspective, support and lead working relationships among various roles like data owners, data stewards, system owners and data consumers.

  • Moderate data quality working groups. Prepare agenda topics and help support the maturity of data quality practice.

  • Helps to drive the formalization of data quality strategy, roadmap and operating model.

  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders in the Business, Technology, Architecture and Data Management teams to drive the organisation wide data quality agenda ensuring accountability and ownership of data quality.

  • Define critical data and quality targets.

  • Review data in order to ensure fulfilment of data quality metrics.

  • Oversee data procedures for any errors or defects.

  • Ownership of dashboards for monitoring data quality.

  • Responsibility for GFCP data dictionary.

  • Stay up-to-date with trends in order to develop solutions for data quality.

  • Analyse data issues to understand cause and impact.

You have a passion for data, data quality and data management and how it can bring advantage in to an organization.

 

To be able to create magic your background should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data or technology subject area, or other equivalent higher education.  

  • Extensible experience from financial sector.

  • At least 7 years of experience in data quality management and data analysis.

  • Strong consulting skills and ability to influence stakeholders.

  • You have been part of defined and deliver large scale Data Quality Management implementations within the financial industry.

  • You understand the latest data quality and data management related technology and best practice.

  • Strong domain expertise and demonstrable experience within data quality disciplines and domains.

  • Knowledge and experience with regulated and/or legal environment and requirements.

  • Understanding of data and information modelling and experience with common data management aspects (schema evolution, lineage, data mapping, data transformations).

  • Experience in performing data quality assessments.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (professional level.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in crime prevention in a major financial institution, especially for payments and customer data which is key for Financial Crime Prevention.

  • Data quality management education and certifications.
