We are looking for Interns to join the Corporate Finance team within Nordea’s Investment Banking Division.

We offer advice to our clients in relation to public and private mergers & acquisitions (M&A) as well as initial public offerings and other equity-related transactions (ECM). What you’ll be doing
As a Corporate Finance Intern at Nordea, you will work alongside some of the leading professionals in the Nordic financial sector, supporting our clients in achieving their strategic goals. You will be involved in advising corporations, financial sponsors, and institutional clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, and other strategic transactions. During your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, valuation, and transaction execution while contributing to innovative solutions for complex business challenges. Nordea offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment, where you will receive the training, mentorship, and support needed to further develop your skills and succeed in corporate finance.
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Conducting industry, company and market analyses to support client projects and transactions
- Building financial models and conducting company valuation to assess strategic alternatives
- Preparing presentations and materials for clients, including pitch books and transaction-related documentation
- Supporting transaction execution across all stages, from initial pitch to closing
- Contributing to innovative solutions to address clients’ strategic and financial challenges
- Developing your technical and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment
- Building a professional network with senior bankers and colleagues across Nordea
We emphasise a steep learning curve for our junior colleagues and prioritise continuous feedback to support development of your professional skills. We are currently recruiting for the following periods during 2026; 10 weeks during either Jan-Mar, Mar-May or May-Aug. Please state in your application which periods you are interested in. We offer several positions and the internship is based in Stockholm.
Who you are
We are looking for ambitious, curious and collaborative individuals with a strong interest in corporate finance and the Nordic business landscape. You combine solid analytical skills with integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of your work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working in teams, and bring a proactive and solution-oriented mindset to every challenge.
Your background and skills include:
- To be eligible, you should have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in Finance, Economics, Business, or a similar field. Preferably an expected graduation date no later than December 2026
- Strong academic record – you are committed to excellence in your studies and ready to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with financial modelling is an advantage
- You have a genuine interest in finance and are excited to contribute with your unique perspective
- Analytical & strategic thinking – you enjoy diving into data and solving complex problems
- You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn from others
- Prior internship or relevant experience in finance, consulting or related fields is a plus
- Fluency in Swedish and English
