Stockholm, SE, 112 51
Job ID: 4732
We are looking for an experienced Operational Excellence and automation professional to turn improvement ideas into decision-ready development cases and strengthen the frameworks that support sustainable change across Nordea Finance’s operations.
About our team
Meet the Operational Excellence team in the Process Centre of Excellence. We are a Nordic and Poland-based team of change and process specialists supporting Nordea Finance’s partner and customer operations with expert guidance, common frameworks and structured ways of working. Together, we create transparency, strengthen business performance and build a culture where continuous improvement is part of how we work every day.
Location is any of the Nordic countries or Poland.
What you’ll be doing
You will develop our Operational Excellence frameworks and culture and advance automation across Nordea Finance’s partner and customer operations. Working across business and technology, you will identify opportunities and turn them into decision-ready development cases with clear business value and recommendations.
- Define, develop and communicate common standards, structures and frameworks for automation and Operational Excellence within Partner & Customer Services
- Identify, assess and shape opportunities for process improvement and automation, selecting the most suitable route across robotic process automation, AI-enabled automation, core system development or process simplification
- Turn ideas into structured, decision-ready development cases, including the business need, proposed solution, expected value, dependencies and risks, to support prioritisation and investment decisions
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and represent Partner & Customer Services in relevant decision forums, leadership teams and development prioritisation discussions
- Drive and support Operational Excellence practices, including continuous improvement, process analysis, performance management, Kaizen and structured problem-solving
- Build capability and engagement by making frameworks practical, coaching colleagues and helping teams adopt new ways of working and automation opportunities
Who you are
Your background and skills include:
- Several years of experience in Operational Excellence, process improvement, business transformation, automation or a similar field, with a track record of delivering tangible business value
- Broad understanding of automation opportunities and the ability to distinguish when RPA, AI-enabled automation, core development or process simplification is the right response
- Experience defining and implementing standards, governance, frameworks and structured ways of working across a complex organisation
- Strong analytical and business-case skills, with experience taking opportunities from an initial idea to a clearly defined development case, including business value, scope, dependencies and risks
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including confidence working with senior leaders, decision forums and cross-functional technology partners
- A self-driven, collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to create clarity, challenge constructively and move work from idea to action
It would be ideal if you also:
- Have hands-on familiarity with AI and automation tools, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI agents or enterprise knowledge solutions
- Have experience from financial services, regulated operations or another complex service organisation
