Welcome to the Requirements & Analysis team in People Technology. People Technology is a technology unit in Nordea Technology with the purpose to deliver technology services to employees in collaboration with our HR stakeholders and to drive simplification of our application landscape in the HR area.

As the SAP Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting integration solutions using SAP integration suite tools & technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Integration Suite with a deep understanding of integration patterns and best practices.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand integration requirements and design scalable and efficient integration solutions
- Design and develop integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite tools, including SAP Cloud Integration, SAP Process Integration (pi), and SAP API management
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system integration
- Provide technical guidance and support to developers and other team members
- Investigate and fix technical problems with system integration
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in SAP Integration Suite and related technologies and evaluate their potential for enhancing our integration capabilities
- Take part in quality control tasks such as code reviews
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement those improvements
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders
- Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of integration solutions

- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, best practices, and industry standards
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing and supporting integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration tools
- Experience with JavaScript/Groovy or any other OOP languages
- Strong experience with integration: SAP Integration Development Guidelines, Performance Optimization Guidelines, Transaction Handling Guidelines, Operational Guidelines, Monitoring/Tracing/Alerting
- Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP API design and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g., XSLT, JSON, XML) and ETL processes
- Experience and understanding of SAP SuccessFactors data model and entities
- DevOps mindset – inherent sense of ownership through deployment lifecycle
- Experience in working in HR domain and with HR system implementations
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, and familiar with international collaboration
Additionally, familiarity with some of the below would be an advantage:
- Experience in SAP products like SuccessFactors, HCM and FI/CO
- Hands-on experience with API development, middleware solutions, and integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Workato)
- Experience or knowledge of SQL, Data Mapping, Data Migration and Process Modelling is an advantage
- Understanding of Data Architecture and different Integration Patterns
