Senior AI Governance Specialists in Digital Governance

Stockholm, SE, 111 46

Job ID: 6513

We are looking for Senior AI Governance Specialists to join our Digital Governance team and help shape, implement, and drive governance frameworks across Nordea´s Group Digital unit.

About our team

Meet the Digital Governance team. Our role is to ensure Group Digital delivers safe, trusted, and compliant AI solutions to our customers through best-in-class governance frameworks.

Our team is focused on establishing governance structures, lifecycle controls, policies, oversight mechanisms, and reporting frameworks for digital and AI-enabled solutions. We are part of Group Digital, Nordea's unit responsible for customer-facing digital channels, as well as critical tools used by employees. We work in a hybrid model, combining office collaboration with flexible remote work.

The preferred location for the positions is Sweden and/or Finland.

Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identify governance gaps, define remediation actions, and coordinate implementation across Group Digital
  • Design, maintain, and continuously improve governance frameworks, standards, controls, and operating procedures
  • Translate Group-level requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal policies into actionable guidance for delivery teams
  • Maintain governance requirements throughout the AI and model lifecycle, including ideation, development, testing, approval, deployment, monitoring, change management, and decommissioning
  • Drive clarity around roles and responsibilities connected to AI and Model Governance for Product Owners, Application Owners, Model Owners, and support colleagues in these roles

Who you are

This is the right role for you if you enjoy working at the intersection of technology, digital development, governance, and stakeholder management. You are curious and comfortable exploring new areas within the rapidly evolving AI and Model Governance landscape, thrive in complex environments, and are willing to take ownership of challenging tasks while taking the time to understand the broader context and dependencies around them. You adapt quickly, maintain a strong focus on execution and quality, and can effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Your background and skills include:

  • Experience working with AI, Model, or Digital Governance in a complex organisation, preferably in financial services or another regulated industry
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience defining governance frameworks and ownership structures
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels and create alignment across different perspectives
  • Ability to translate regulatory, compliance, audit and AI and Model Governance requirements into practical controls, service requirements, and operating procedures that enable business value while protecting Nordea, our customers, and our data
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience

It would be ideal if you also:

  • Have a strong understanding of digital banking or another highly regulated, technology-driven business
