We are growing our team in Data, Digital Sales and Engagement (DDSE) Sweden. We are looking for a person that loves working with data and analysis to join our existing Analytics team. In DDSE we are a group of specialists in various fields: everything from digital marketing and content production to web analysis and data science. Collectively, we are responsible for engaging new and existing personal customers in digital channels, and driving sales via online/mobile banking and nordea.se.

About this opportunity

 

This is a role within Personal Banking Analytics Sweden / Data, Digital Sales and Engagement. In Data, Digital Sales and Engagement (DDSE), we are building the omnichannel customer journey seamless experience and for that we need to connect different data sources across our platforms and applications. We want to send relevant personalised messages to our customers offering the right product or service, in the right channel, at the right time.

 

What you will be doing

 

We are looking for a curious and driven Data scientist who can contributes with insight that helps us to steer the business by detecting business opportunities and improvement areas.

 

As the Data Scientist, you will empower the digital sales team to take the right decisions on how to improve business based on insight. You will also enable colleagues to utilise insight by establishing and maintaining dashboards, empowering end users to answer their questions regarding for instance product portfolio analysis, sales funnels, campaign performance and customer segmentation.

 

You will also be working on setting up clean data sets and data modelling/structure that allows us to have the same view across different teams. This means making use of the infrastructure available in Nordea to write data transformation jobs through code and create reusable data assets for analysts and data scientists that get updated in an automated way with a given frequency.

 

In addition you will be:  

  • Extracting the underlying data from existing databases and centralizing it to a local data storage
  • Writing (complex) data transformations in SQL, using the available data build tools in Nordea, that will create the metrics needed for the analysts
  • Documenting the process for building the different data sets to ensure a high quality foundation for data analysist/scientists. Maintaining data documentation and definitions
  • Collaborating very close with Business requestors within PeB Sweden and Nordic counterparties
  • Participating actively in development initiatives within Digital Sales teams to expand the usage of data in marketing campaigns

The role is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Your experience and background:

  • Academic degree in highly quantitative discipline or specialisation such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Software Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience working in data-driven landscapes as a data scientist with strong tech experience or data engineer who have discovered the business aspect
  • You know your ways around tools like Snowflake, Git and Power BI
  • You have knowledge of software/data engineering best practices
  • You can sketch a data model/data structure and implement it
  • Strong SQL skills, applied knowledge of Java, Python and/or R
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish & English (professional level)
