About this opportunity
Welcome to the Capital Reporting Application Management team. We are responsible for procurement, operations and maintenance of Nordea’s Capital Reporting applications. Our applications work to source and process Nordea’s data until final reports required by banking regulations are generated. They currently undergo exciting large scale transformation towards modern technologies which shifts application management accent from running well stabilized solutions towards cooperating closely with large change initiatives aiming to transform existing landscape.
We are now looking for a Senior IT Analyst, who will utilize her/his technical and organisational skills to take care for IT operations for a set of applications and to cooperate closely with projects and programmes constantly transforming solutions in our area.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support IT Service Manager in leading IT service for Group Finance Reporting Infrastructure solutions in accordance with ITIL and BizDevOps best practices.
- Cooperate closely in BizDevOps spirit with IT Development and Business teams responsible for changes and projects to ensure well prepared changes and new systems ready for IT operations and further maintenance.
- Safeguard on daily basis applications' operations, availability, continuity, security and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Monitor and analyse daily operations, data flows, applications’ performance and configuration to ensure application management service is under good control.
- Be co-responsible for incident, problem and change management, ensuring there high quality and timeliness in line with KPIs and SLAs.
- Regularly verify and update applications’ documentation, operating procedures and repositories of information about applications.
- Provide technical and application management expertise on complex issues and guide application support team in solving incidents and problems.
- Cooperate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure best of class service and smooth productional operations.
- Participate in internal communication across many stakeholders responding to their varying applications related queries.
- Drive continual service improvement and automation of IT operations.
- Be involved in work related to risks and audits.
- As an Application Management team member you will contribute to further improvement of application management processes aligned with Nordea strategies, principles and frameworks.
You’ll join us and play a key role in driving further growth of Application Management strategies within our area and cross borders. The role is based in Gdańsk or Stockholm.

Your skills, experience and background:
- Technical hands-on competences in administering solutions based on Snowflake, Docker/Kubernetes, Linux, Python and Power BI.
- Practical skills of administering Linux and Windows systems (Bash and PowerShell scripting much appreciated) and of SQL scripting.
- Solid IT background and general understanding of modern and legacy IT landscape, including topics like data warehouses, ETL, databases, TWS, UC4, Splunk, DataStage, mainframes, IT security, backups, failover.
- Service oriented, with some experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- An experience in cooperation with IT projects or agile teams delivering IT solutions and changes to productional maintenance.
- Good organizational skills and ability to coordinate complex tasks.
- Self-driven and oriented on achieving the goal overcoming obstacles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective collaborator, sharing information and acting on tasks in an adaptable manner to meet needs and requirements together with the team.
- Ability to adapt, respond to change and initiate action.
- On a personal level, you are an easily approachable person. You carry a positive attitude!
Considered a plus:
- Hands-on experience with IBM DataStage or PostgreSQL.
- Certification with ITIL, DevOps, agile methodology considered a plus.
