Sr. IT Developer – Group Functions Technology

About this opportunity


You will be part of the Software Development capability within Group Functions Technology. In Software Development unit within Group Functions Technology, we add value by providing the required capabilities and expertise in the backend application development for many solutions in the bank based on different technologies. As a Senior Developer, you’ll play a valuable role in working closely with execution leads, product owners, architects & analysts to refine and work on the epics in the RegTech, Financial Anti-Crime, Credit Management value stream.


What you’ll be doing:


We are looking for Senior Developers to work close with Product Owners, Solution Architects and Analysts to refine epics, user stories and business requirements into technical design and working software, be able to mentor juniors in the teams by setting high development standards and implement some of the industry best practices.


You should have following skills to contribute efficiently:

  • Design thinking and analytical skills
  • Mentoring and strong communication skills
  • Micro services architecture, integration patterns
  • Good understanding of model lifecycle (e.g. model development, implementation, validation, monitoring)


You’ll join a team of experts with great experience and skills in the backend application development where we learn from each other and grow together as team and individuals. The role is based in Stockholm in Sweden or Gdańsk / Warsaw in Poland.

You have:

  • Master’s degree with excellent academics in a quantitative/numerical area e.g. math, physics, quant finance or data science. The areas mentioned is a not a criteria and can be bridged with keen interest, ambition and strong programming skills in Python and analytical tools (SAS or similar)
  • Experience with Automation of deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using e.g. Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Worked on designing and development of IT solutions based on a microservice-based solution architecture
  • Experience in event-driven architecture
  • Strong knowledge of PL/SQL
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory environment, including model risk management best practices
  • Have strong collaborative skills and strong written and spoken communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with senior professionals
