About this opportunity

 

Welcome to Large Corporate & Institutions Legal. We provide inhouse legal advice to all business units within Large Corporate & Institutions in Nordea, working across all our four Nordic locations as well as New York. The role offers stimulating tasks relating to Swedish and international financing transactions with primary focus on legal support to Nordea’s Leverage Finance and Fund Finance teams.

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Give legal advice within the LC&I product range with primary focus on Nordic and international LBO and fund finance transactions
  • Dealing with general matters of law, in particular financing, company and insolvency law primarily in the context of financing transactions
  • Participate in projects related to business and product development as well as regulatory implementation within LC&I

 

You will join a team of experienced and highly professional inhouse legal counsels. We prioritise and focus not only on having a high level of integrity and legal skills, but also on creating and maintaining an informal and accommodating working environment, not only in our team but also with internal business units. The role is based in Stockholm.

  • Proven track record of independently managing and negotiating high-value loan transactions within a wholesale banking or corporate finance environment

  • A strong ability to prioritise conflicting demands and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills

 

Your experience and background:

  • At least six years working as a legal counsel in a wholesale banking environment or a banking and finance practice at a law firm 
  • Significant experience from complex financing transactions, including leverage and acquisition finance and fund finance
  • A Master's of Law degree from Sweden
  • Excellent language skills in Swedish and English
