We are looking for a new team member to take on the position as Senior Project Leader in the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) COO Projects & Change team.

Welcome to AWM COO Projects & Change, we are supporting the backbone of Asset & Wealth Management with strategy execution, project management, business development, process management and strategic management support.


The AWM COO organisation acts as one point of entry for the Nordea Group, connecting the business and enabling the value chain towards AWM. AWM COO teams represent AWM in forums and committees across the bank and serve as an interface between group functions, product responsible units, client responsible units and support units within AWM. 

 

We’re seeking a Senior Project Leader with a strong background in both project management, strategic planning and strategy execution. This role is ideal for someone who not only thrives in leading complex projects but also has the vision and expertise to help shape the strategic roadmap ahead. You’ll oversee key projects from inception to completion while working closely with senior leadership and cross the organization to develop and implement strategies that align with Nordea’s business objectives.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring all objectives are met within scope, on time, and on budget
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, providing guidance and support to meet project milestones and deliverables
  • Oversee project budgets, report on progress, and implement changes as needed to maintain project alignment with goals
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to drive efficiency and accountability across the project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to assess business needs, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic plans
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions
  • Support long-term planning initiatives, setting measurable goals and actionable steps for growth and operational efficiency improvements

 

In this role you will be reporting to the Head of AWM COO Projects & Change, Omid Hessam, and the role is based in Stockholm (Smålandsgatan 17), Sweden.

  • A proactive can-do approach, ability to manage multiple tasks, and an execution-oriented mindset

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse virtual teams
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with senior leadership and stakeholders

 

Your experience and background:

  • Relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with proven experience managing large-scale projects end-to-end
  • Ideally, you have a strong background in finance, asset & wealth management and/or management consulting
  • Superior skills in MS Office
  • Superior spoken and written business English and Swedish
