About our team
Meet the Credit Stress Testing & IFRS9 Models team in Risk Models, Group Risk. Our role is to upscale Nordea’s models and frameworks for internal expected loss. You will cooperate closely with your colleagues across the bank and you will have great possibilities to develop your skills within credit risk area – a field which is in high focus in Nordea. Our team have an open and inspiring atmosphere where we value being good colleagues. The team has a broad range of seniority levels which is why we welcome different seniorities to join since we have capacity to both train and onboard you, but also to learn more from you. You will report to Head of ECL Models who is based in Stockholm.

What you’ll be doing
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Design and implement large datasets to solve complex problems
- Develop quantitative models within the IFRS9 and stress testing suite of credit risk models
- Develop Python based tools to simulate portfolio impact for various scenario analysis, including stress testing and macro sensitivities
- Build relationships with different stakeholders within and outside the bank to facilitate understanding on our models and framework
- Provide sharp data analytics to contribute to key decisions
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Show quantitative analytical capability, proactivity and problem-solving skills to find solutions to loosely defined problems
- Enjoy working hands-on with large datasets using Python, Spark and SQL but are equally comfortable discussing results with stakeholders
- Can prioritize what is most important and are committed to deliver high quality on time
- Are dependable, willing to speak up even when it’s difficult
Your background and skills include:
- An academic degree (MSc or PhD) within a quantitative field, including but not limited to statistics, mathematics, economics or engineering
- At least two years’ experience working with data and models, and 5+ years experience for a Senior role
- Proficiency with programming languages and environments such as Python, SQL, Pyspark, Jupyterhub etc.
- Full proficiency in English, since all communication will be in English
