Regulatory Affairs adds value by proactively and professionally overseeing and managing the relationships with our supervisors and authorities and by managing the risks for Nordea related to the regulatory interactions.

 

You will join a cross Nordic team acting as a single point of entry for interactions, supporting Nordea business areas and group functions in managing supervisory requests and providing advice to Nordea management.

 

The role is based in any of the Nordic countries and you will be reporting to Sami Tiainen, Head of Regulatory Affairs.

 

Focusing on market and liquidity risks, your role will include:

  • Managing supervisory interactions end-to-end, driving for results. Managing key stakeholders with excellent communication. Ensuring timeliness, transparency, accuracy and consistency of deliveries
  • Safeguarding Nordea from regulatory risk in your area of responsibility. Thinking out of the box and taking ownership for ensuring professional supervisory relationships. Preparing narratives for supervisory communication
  • Identifying and supporting Nordea units responsible for the content. Ensuring stakeholders are ready for meetings and securing Senior ​management engagement. Providing advice on supervisory processes and expectations
  • Engaging yourself in supervisory activities and assuring the quality of Nordea deliveries. Executing​ the interactions in appropriate format ​& channels. Coordinating follow-ups and ensure deadlines are met​
  • Maintaining oversight of your portfolio of interactions and ensuring information is up to date in Nordea systems. Preparing reporting, briefings and advice for senior management

We are looking for an experienced person with a flexible mindset, excellent communication and stakeholder skills, and capability to advice Nordea in supervisory interactions.

 

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Have good knowledge of banks’ market and liquidity risk management requirements, practices, and respective supervisory expectations
  • Have proven results on high execution capacity with experience from driving complex projects
  • Are a dynamic team member with energy and enthusiasm who can inspire your high performing stakeholders and colleagues. You are able to bring knowledge, clarity and structure to your area
  • Are experienced in working with highly qualified people across borders and have strong stakeholder and project management capabilities
  • Have ability to handle concentration of deliveries in peak times and find a way forwards

 

Your experience and background:

  • More than 5 years of experience on market or liquidity risks
  • Project management experience with a strong track record of concrete deliveries
  • Team player with strong networking skills
  • Capacity to connect the dots and plan in advance in complex environment
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field

 

Experience participating in regulatory projects and a track record showing a strong drive to provide value for business will be considered a plus.
