We are now looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to contribute in the process of developing and maintaining a robust IT platform for Nordea Life & Pension.

 

This position will focusing on developing the test automation area. It also involves analysing business requirements with the aim to document system requirements and converting these into the foundation for IT design and development. Securing the quality by preparing and perform testing of the applications. Understanding the structure, dynamics, terminology and IT applications of the supported business area and working closely with stakeholders in business, IT and external partners.

Welcome to the IT department of Nordea Life & Pension. We add value by securing that NLP will continue to have an IT platform that addresses the business needs and fulfils the quality and sustainability requirements. As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will play a valuable role in taking part on a journey to analyse and test the future solutions in the insurance and pension sector.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Develop, plan and execute test automation for different platforms
  • Running and maintaining automated test cases as well as performing manual testing
  • Contribute to the requirement process. This involves documenting system requirements and converting these into the foundation for IT design and development
  • Understand the structure, dynamics, terminology and IT applications of the supported business area, and work closely with stakeholders in business, IT and external partners

 

You will be focusing in the testing area, by preparing and performing test activities in the different test levels in the application lifecycle. This especially includes developing the way to automate the testing. The aim is to secure high quality in the applications to be able to serve our customers and other stakeholders in an ultimate way.

 

You'll join a team that serves the Life and Pension part of Nordea when it comes to IT solutions, from a Swedish but also, partly, a Nordic perspective. The role is based in Stockholm and at Nordea we practise a hybrid working model.

Your experience and background:

  • Relevant academic degree and/or relevant experience from the IT area
  • Strong experience from working in the test area, especially automated testing, as well as performing system tests, system integration test and regression test
  • Experience in testing technologies and tools
  • Understanding how to build long term sustainable solutions
  • Experience from working with business requirements translating them into solid IT solutions
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management 
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English
  • Experience from the insurance area and working with software vendors would be considered an advantage.
