We are looking for an energic and data driven leader for Software Development Capability Lead position in the CDW domain, leading team of highly passionate data engineers working on building modernized cloud based data warehousing solution for the bank.

About our team

 

We are responsible for building bank’s Common Data Warehousing solution using state of the art cloud solutions. We add value by providing expert data engineering capabilities and expertise in the data warehousing and data integration areas for many solutions in the bank based on cloud based technologies like Snowflake, and many other modern technologies. As the Software Development Capability Lead, you’ll play a valuable role in taking part of an exciting and ambitious journey towards a modern, resilient target state.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the team of skilled snowflake developers working across locations - Nordics, Poland and India
  • Managing and leading the interface to key Business & Technology stakeholders including ensuring continuous alignment with Technology Business Strategy (workforce, partnerships, standards), as well as with Common Frameworks, guidelines and Tech Standards
  • Leading our journey towards developing and modernizing our data warehousing platform
  • Championing technology strategies and creating awareness of technology trends and opportunities

Who you are

 

Your background and skills include:

  • Have leadership experience and know how to both set direction & challenge the status quo for the greater good of Nordea
  • Have strong communication and people skills, have the ability to inspire, motivate and engage
  • Are role model for collaboration, empowering own team, inspiring the “Can Do” attitude
  • Good at Stakeholder Management at all levels of the bank
  • Are result oriented, taking ownership, reaching out and “making things happen”. Basically being customer centric mindset actively seeking value-creation opportunities through technology
  • Experience and/or high interest to data driven leadership
  • A preferred candidate with an IT technical background (Data warehousing, Databases, Snowflake) enabling the candidate to understand the technical context of the area
  • Have strong skills within transformation and project/program management creating proven changes in complex financial environments
  • Have knowledge of DevOps preferably from working within financial services institutions
