To help us achieve our objectives, we are looking for a Software Development Capability Team Leader to join the Data & Analytics Service Domain within the Group Financial Crime Prevention Service Area. 

 

About this opportunity

 

Financial Crime Prevention Technology (FCPT) adds value by ​providing a strong technology team with the right capabilities for the Group Financial Crime Prevention business teams.  

The Data and Analytics team is a part of FCPT and is responsible for providing the tools and technology required to enable the business to leverage the value of our data through advanced analytics, machine learning and AI 

 

What you’ll be doing 

 

As a capability team leader, you will lead a team of Software Engineers and will have both execution and people leadership responsibilities which will include competence development, knowledge sharing and the deployment and use of relevant standards.  Your key accountabilities will include: 

 

  • Helping to establish and lead teams to support AI and ML development 

  • Aligning with the vision and direction of the group’s Centre of Excellence for Software Development 

  • Competence development and knowledge sharing within the software development capability  

  • Deployment and use of relevant standards, frameworks and tools in partnership with the CoE 

  • Driving initiatives for capability uplift across the technology area.  

  • Leadership of your own internal direct reports and external consultants 

  • Supporting technology team members in their development and delivery of business value.  

  • Maintaining a focus on stakeholder management in the teams you interact with 

 

You will join a team with a focus on delivering value to the business while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and other bank standards​.

Your experience and background: 

  • Demonstrable experience with ML and AI technologies, for example working with MLOps tooling and data pipelines and LLMs 

  • Deep experience with Software Development tooling, methods and practices 

  • Understanding DevOps/MLOps, agile practices and how they can be integrated into teams 

  • Hands-on experience with a broad range of technologies and frameworks that, combined with your leadership skills, enables you to coach and mentor IT technical specialists 

  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts within capability to avoid escalation (mediation skills) 

  • Experienced implementing new methods and standards
