About this opportunity

Welcome to the Contract & Supplier Management team. We add value by ensuring that compliant and cost efficient services are delivered to Nordea, while also exploring opportunities for the future through innovation – ensuring Nordea remains competitive also in the future. As Supplier Manager - Technology you’ll play a valuable role in executing supplier management tasks in line with best practices and to help producing value add for Nordea, ensuring control and oversight for the suppliers you will manage.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining long-standing relationships with Nordea’s suppliers
  • Overseeing and facilitating supplier governance, risk management and commercial management
  • Collaborating with service owners, interfacing units and other stakeholders
  • Providing oversight, guidance and support during negotiations as needed
  • Understanding contractual terms and conditions, and commercial implication in order to effectively manage supplier contracts and relationships
  • Acting as escalation point and resolve disputes
  • Seeking value creation opportunities from supplier relationships
  • Contributing to improve processes and best practices within the supplier management discipline
  • Working to increase the supplier management knowledge and understanding – both within and outside your own unit.

Your experience and background: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an international environment working with supplier management, service delivery and/or procurement related activities
  • Hands-on experience working with IT deliveries and suppliers
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders as well as with suppliers
  • Contract management, risk management, and negotiation experience
  • Experience from international roles or working in an international company with a diverse culture and daily interaction with many different nationalities
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English (both in writing and speaking)


It will also be of benefit with below experience and/or competencies, but not a requirement:

  • Experience within IT outsourcing
  • Experience working with global suppliers in a regulated environment
