Technology Service Leader for Business Banking – Application Maintenance

The offer

 

Exciting Senior Leader position in the Application Maintenance division in a global bank, managing daily IT operations for an application portfolio within Business Banking.

 

You will be leading the global Technology Service for your area, working with technologies and concepts across the bank, secure core environment. The bank is well on its digitalization journey, and the leader we are looking for will help push towards a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach.

 

As a senior Technology Service Lead, you will be expected to handle a portfolio of applications and working very closely together with the Technology Execution Team for support of your applications in scope. This will be done in the alignment with the Business Area Technology Leader ensuring we reach our strategic goals, enabled by coaching and motivation of your colleagues.

 

The work may require some travel. Primarily in the Nordics and Poland.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will lead the service for an application portfolio in Business Banking, and will be responsible for delivering a strategy followed by strong business result and driving Operational excellence.
  • Manage the interface to business technology stakeholders and processes including communication to foster alignment across the value chain e.g. Business Technology, Core Technology, Business and Vendors.
  • Establish technology operation plans with clear priorities and an overall execution structure, aligned with funding and capability resource plans.
  • Safeguard and manage application service availability and life cycle.
  • Secure execution according to agreed budgets, KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Planning and optimisation of technology total cost of ownership for own business portfolio.

Your preferred background:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in similar position
  • IT technical background enabling you to understand the technical context of the area
  • A degree in relevant field e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Operations management
  • Excellent people, coaching and communication skills
  • Strong skills within transformation creating proven changes in complex financial environments
  • Customer centric mindset, actively seeking value-creation opportunities through technology
  • Experience with Application Management, DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering
  • ITIL foundation and knowledge of processes preferably from working within financial services institutions
  • Curiosity and interest on understanding and fulfilling business requirements
