About our team

 

Meet the SD High Risk and SD C & I team. Our role is to support the lending business by providing technology solutions for credit assessment, credit decision, and ongoing loan servicing and monitoring.

 

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Lead and develop the engineering team, establishing a culture of accountability, end-to-end ownership, and continuous improvement, underpinned by strong engineering discipline 
  • Take ownership of operational excellence, ensuring production operations are stable, efficient, and maintainable, with consistently high standards
  • Take ownership of delivering the business book of work, ensuring the right balance between speed, quality, operational stability, and long-term sustainability 
  • Drive simplification of the technical landscape to reduce complexity and cost of change, ensuring long-term maintainability   
  • Establish technical standards and ensure compliance. Drive adoption of modern software development practices and the use if AI-assisted tools

 

Who you are

Your background and skills include: 

  • Senior software engineering leader with strong track record managing complex technology solutions 
  • Strong track record of driving operational excellence, including reliable production operations and robust processes and standards. Ability to balance ongoing operational stability with delivery of new initiatives 
  • Ability to work closely with Business, product and other technology teams to translate requirements into solutions that last, not just work     
  • Experience in change management and transformation, leading teams through re-platforming, modernization, and major process improvements
  • Solid expertise in software engineering practices

 

It would be ideal if you also have an AI and automation experience, understanding how AI, ML and automation can be applied to improve engineering productivity and the quality of engineering outcomes
