About this opportunity


 
To strengthen our team we are looking for an experienced Lead Data Analyst (Expert IT Analyst) who has skills to do hands-on data and requirement analysis work. The right candidate also understands other aspects of software development: Are we making solid architectural decisions? Are we able to improve our tech stack? Are we focusing on right things?

 

Your main responsibilities will be around the consolidation and harmonization, sourcing, storage and distribution of Payments Data to other solutions. It also includes integrations supporting different End2End payment flows in Nordea´s target payment architecture. 


 
What you’ll be doing:

  • Contributing to solution design, maintainability and architecture of applications
  • Designing both near real-time data pipelines and pipeline for traditional analytics
  • Interacting with product owners and stakeholders to clarify, elicit and translate requirements into implementation specifications
  • Data mapping, data modelling, solution design and working with Information architects
  • Performing quantitative data analysis with the aim to understand identified issues and to explain implications, and recommend solutions
  • Collaborating with developers and engineers, and properly document your design & solutions
  • Engaging with many different stakeholders, so the person we are looking for, is communicative and has skills to build relationships
  • Eliciting requirements (functional and non-functional) by co-operating with different stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Be responsible for requirements documentation (inc. use cases) and quality improvement
  • Accessing complex and distributed datasets, and perform statistical analysis


The role is based in Copenhagen / Taastrup (DK) or Helsinki (FI).

Your experience and background: 

  • 5-7 years of experience from designing data intensive solutions, data architectures and integration patterns
  • Understanding the importance of requirement elicitation techniques / analysis
  • Expert in ensuring that business requirements gets translated into functional and non-functional specifications
  • Excellent skills in SQL (Oracle, MSSQL or similar RDBMS)
  • Understanding of practices like Domain driven design, Event sourcing architecture patterns, microservices architecture and clean code
  • Understanding of CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, REST, Maven and JUnit and also to have experience building distributed, highly available and high throughput applications
  • Degree in computer science and engineering, mathematical modelling or similar
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, and familiar with international collaboration with different stakeholder groups

 

It is beneficial if you know/have:

  • Knowledge of the banking sector and payment domain (ISO20022 standard, SEPA and Swift messages)
  • Experience in one or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google)
