Would you like to be a lead and front runner of Data & Reporting development of Snowflake solutions – building best practice solutions based on Kafka, API’s and implement the newest Nordea Data Reference Architecture? Your technical expertise will include general software engineering, Data Warehouse, as well as big data/streaming analytics.

About our team
You will work closely together with business product owners and IT Analysts, business SME’s, Group Architecture and other developers to understand and analyse the business needs from which you will design and implement end-2-end solutions on our new Snowflake platform. And ensuring that consumers easily can translate data to insight and business value.
You’ll join Data and Reporting, where we are delivering the future Data & Analytics platforms and solutions for Nordea Transaction Banking. We deliver on multiple data platforms (Snowflake, Power BI and Confluence Kafka), as well as on many enterprise and self-service data integration & analytical platforms.
What you’ll be doing:
- Handson development and solution design
- End2end design
- Data Streaming/data integration
- Data storage on Snowflake
- Data modelling including monitoring of Data Quality
- ELT: dbt / Python / Others
- Technical coaching and sharing best practices for the development team(s) based in Denmark, Poland and India:
- Solution design and data modelling
- Recommendations about platform/tool selections, information architecture, including implementation of data governance principles
- Focusing on business requirements and understanding of the complete Data & analytics delivery value chain:
- Analysing requirement and define overall implementation standards together with architects and developers
- Data analysis & modelling
- Proactively engaging stakeholders
- Validating the solutions both from a requirement fulfilment perspective, as well as from a technical perspective (fit for purpose)
The role is based in Copenhagen (DK), Stockholm (SE) or Helsinki (FI).

Your experience and background:
- 8+ years’ experience in DW, BI & analytics as an architect and/or developer
- Data related programming skills (Java/Scala)
- Academic IT degree
- Great communicator with business and be a bridge builder between business and IT
- English language skills
Technical skills:
- Kafka (Kafka connect / producers and consumers)
- Hands on experience with building e2e data pipelines on Snowflake/AWS (dbt, etc.)
- SnowCLI / SnowPark
- Java and building APIs
- Knowledge about Apache Iceberg
It is beneficial if you know/have:
- DataStage
- Power BI
- MSSQL -SSIS / SSAS
- Oracle RDBM
- Experience with information and/or solution architecture is preferred
