About our team
Welcome to Technology Strategic Sourcing. We add value by securing the best Technology deals from a cost/value/risk perspective. As the Strategic Sourcing Team Lead, you will be driving either independently or through your team, highly complex technology projects in a structured and compliance driven industry. This is an opportunity for an experienced leader who combines a high level of Technology Procurement expertise with great people skills.
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Lead a diverse Team of 10 Sourcing managers directly, across different locations with all the management/administration activities around that
- Be a part of the Technology Strategic Sourcing management team, working with Peers to solve complex issues and plan ahead
- Drive the more complex Technology sourcing projects for software and hardware when required
- Stakeholder management of other technology leaders, understanding demand and their requirements
- Be involved and coordinating in various regulatory requirements and risk management, that is common in the banking industry
- Be a change agent, through thinking outside the box and promoting a feedback culture

Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Are an Expert in the procurement and sourcing of Technology, with a knowledge that is in the top tier of how this is done
- Have purchased this before and having a deep understanding of one or more of the different categories: Hardware, Software, Cloud etc.
- Can communicate complex ideas in a simple way to different types of audience, including C-level stakeholders in related domain and provide steering to achieve & set a common direction
- Enjoy to lead and collaborate with people with different backgrounds and visions, towards the same goal, in a complex environment
- Have a sound commercial knowledge, with excellent negotiation skills
- Independently lead complex and strategic sourcing activities, acting as a senior project manager or program manager, to ensure alignment with Nordea Sourcing Policy and Nordea Sourcing Toolkits
- Independently manage and resolve issues with Nordea's stakeholders and suppliers on an ongoing basis, effectively handling potential conflicts as they arise
- Have a passion for coaching and developing others
Your background and skills include:
- University Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Engineering
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- 15+ years’ experience within a Technology position, ideally from a procurement position or could be from a commercial and contract perspective, either from the customer or supplier side
- 5+ years as leader in Procurement
- You have been independently driving MM€ sourcing projects, contracts on a multi-project, cross-functional environment
- Ideally you understand the Technology supplier landscape in the Nordics
- Solid understanding of third party risk management
- Experience in Banking or other highly regulated industry is a benefit
