We are looking for a Data Modeller / Expert Data Engineer to help design and build modern backend solutions while deliberately crafting approaches for AI in order to build stable and reliable software. This is a permanent and full-time position, based in our office in Tricity or Warsaw, Poland.

About our team

 

Meet the Financial Statement team within Rating and Limit Management Unit. Our role is to build and maintain software solutions to store and deliver data across the bank.

 

We support our business partners not only while ensuring regulatory compliance for data quality and audit trail but also integrating financial data with rating and credit decision solution. We work with multiple data sources spanning various formats, systems, and external integrations, requiring sophisticated data orchestration. Join a modern, self-governing team focused on delivering scalable solution for credit part of the bank business.

 

We are delivering Nordea Service Strategy and we are looking for Senior Data Engineer to address and resolve business’ partners daily problems with end to end solution. We value autonomy, mastery likewise a focus on quality delivery. As Nordea we are changing these days and we are seeking for a Engineer willing to contribute to the journey. 

 

What you'll be doing

 

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Driving data modelling and data mapping between both layers in the system and stakeholders   
  •  Collaborating closely with stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions  
  • Taking ownership of analysis and solution design with strategic foresight in meeting business expectations 
  • Supporting the team with defining and refining technical requirements alongside with detailed documentation
  • Be accountable for data quality, consistency and accuracy of the solution as well as across the systems
  • Optimizing workflows with AI tools to increase efficiency and maintainability of a solution delivered from business demand to working application

 

Who you are

  • You are fluent with English both written and spoken with proven experience in client-facing roles

 

Your background and skills include:   

  • Extensive hand-on experience in relational databases and SQL  
  • Substantial experience working with data mapping between more than two systems ensuring accurate data migration, integration, and transformation
  • Experience or knowledge of API development and Process Modelling
  • Solid foundation of Java, Kafka, PowerBI
  • Experience adapting AI tools or agents into daily activities such as documentation creation, data reconciliation, test creation.

 

It would be ideal if you also:    

  • Are acquainted with or willing to learn Python
  • Have exposure to data warehouse principles
