About our team
Meet the Rating Assignment technology team. We build and maintain digital solutions that support how corporate credit decisions are made across the bank. Our systems help credit professionals efficiently assess financial data, manage credit limits, and evaluate risk. We focus on creating reliable and intuitive tools that simplify complex workflows and support high-quality decision making. A key part of our work is integrating data across multiple systems and automating credit processes to improve efficiency and transparency. The solutions we build also provide trusted data used for risk management and regulatory reporting.
In our team, we work at the intersection of business, technology, and regulatory requirements, designing solutions that are scalable, compliant, and easy to use. We collaborate closely with business experts, analysts, and engineers to continuously improve the credit processes used across the organisation.
Main responsibilities in this role:
- Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a modern microservices architecture
- Taking ownership of solution design and technical architecture for complex features and components
- Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Driving adoption of AI-assisted development practices (e.g. GitHub Copilot, internal agents) to improve engineering productivity
- Supporting the team with technical leadership, code quality practices, and modern engineering standards (TDD, design patterns, clean architecture)
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you:
- Enjoy combining hands-on development with architecture thinking
- Are curious about how AI can change the way software is built
- Like working close to business stakeholders, helping translate ideas into working solutions
- Take ownership and naturally step into an expert role within a team
- Are open to solving problems beyond pure coding when the situation requires it
Your background and skills include:
- Strong experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot
- Experience designing and building microservice-based systems
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Experience working with messaging systems such as Kafka or MQ
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, and modern development practices
- Experience adapting AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot or similar) or agents into everyday development workflows, such as code generation, refactoring, documentation, or test creation
It would be ideal if you also:
- Have experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Work comfortably with TDD and domain-driven design (DDD)
- Are familiar with Angular 17+ or modern frontend framework
