We are now looking for a Head of Operational Risk data analytics to take responsibility for the newly established team in Monitoring, Reporting ana Analytics in Group Operational Risk (GOR). The team is to oversee measurement of operational risk management, expand the use of operational risk data and develop analytics.

About this opportunity

At GOR, you will learn about the bank’s compliance with regulations and internal rules, limits & guidelines on operational risk. This includes control, analysis and reporting of risk exposures. You will have an opportunity to learn and influence how operational risk exposure can be measured and modelled. Furthermore you will be engaged in cooperation with various units and agreeing solutions with them.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead a global team consisting of approx. 6 employees
  • Define and set the vision for the Team. Drive improvements and contribute to the GOR strategy for the future
  • Ensure a good line of communication towards stakeholders and management
  • Drive development and practical usage of statistical methods supporting operational risk management
  • Ensure appropriate implementation of adequate regulations but oversight as 2LOD
  • Strengthen the use of data within operational risk area and lead exploration of automation in GOR
  • Demonstrate leadership by creating engagement and developing the organisation


The role is based in Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen or Warsaw.

Your experience and background: 

  • Leadership experience with proven track record of team development
  • Previous experience with programme management, project management, or similar 
  • Risk management model design and development experience preferable in Python
  • Previous experience working with streamlining data usage and exploring automation within risk area
  • A solid economics, finance or equivalent academic degree
  • At least 8 years’ experience in financial markets or banking
  • Knowledge about operational risk management
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Fluency in English

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of  Value – at – Risk Models 
  • Knowledge of data architecture, database management and IT systems
