Take a leading role in building Nordea’s Pega System Architect capability in Corporate Lending area and help shape Nordea’s future digital transformation.

About this opportunity


You'll join one of our Business Banking units with allocation to Front to Back Corporate Lending Hub team – dedicated to create the new applications, process of the future in the loans for corporates in Nordea. Considering from the moment the customer approach the bank until the loan is fully paid, we will take care of all the journey of the customer and the product. Our goal is to improve the customer satisfaction, increase the business, the employees productivity and of course be compliant with all the regulators’ demands.

 

As a Lead System Architect, you will play a vital role In shaping the services and setting best practices as we scale the platform to support the growing adoption of the capability within the bank.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define development and code review standards
  • Build and maintan common components 
  • Shape the future application roadmap
  • Act as Pega development SME, providing guidence and support 
  • Define governanve to ensure integrity of Pega Layer CakeTM architecture
  • Assist in scoping and sizing of new projects
  • Mentor and support other colleagues 
  • Work close to with Pega System company and their consultants

 

The role is based in Warsaw/Tricity/Łódź in hybrid work system.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

  • Have solid hands-on Pega development experience, preferably within the Financial sector
  • Stay on top of latest Pega features and standards
  • Possess strong technical consulting skills to drive the latest ways to implement software solutions
  • Have the knowledge of object oriented programing languages, Application Servers, relational and non-relational databases and integration techniques.
  • Know how Pega Center of Excellence is setup and functions
  • Have leadership skills to take lead in shaping standards and ways of working
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills 
  • Are interested in training and mentoring others to become future System Architects

 

Your experience and background:  

  • 3+ years experience in the role of the Pega certified Lead System Architect
  • 5+ years actively working with Pega systems in the role of Senior or Lead System Architect  
  • 2+ years of Java/J2EE development experience will be an asset
  • Experience leading a team of Pega System Architects in a project/agile team 
  • Fluency in English (professional level)
