About this opportunity


Welcome to the Technology & Resilience Risk Oversight team. We are part of Nordea’s second line of defence (2LoD) in Group Operational Risk (GOR) that provides Technology, BCCM, and Outsourcing & Third Parties risk oversight. Our team adds value with our constructive challenge and support for our colleagues in the First Line of Defence when building well controlled and designed solutions in a fast-changing environment. 


As the Senior or Lead Risk Expert, you will play a valuable role in supporting and positively influencing the First Line of Defence to manage Technology and Resilience risks.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform testing activities in the area of Technology, Outsourcing and BCCM risks across Nordea's Business Areas and Group Functions (1st line of defence)
  • Constructively challenge and proactively support the first line on risk management practices, regulatory compliance and control appropriateness
  • Identify, measure, monitor and report Technology & Resilience risks across the Bank
  • Assess materials related to banking supervisory requests
  • Monitor the risk mitigation progress and effectiveness.

 

You’ll join a dynamic and talented team driving pragmatic and risk focused oversight of Technology & Resilience risks in Second Line of Defence (2LoD). The role can be based in Stockholm, Helsinki, Warsaw, Łódź, Gdańsk or Gdynia.

Your experience and background:

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree in technical or business subjects
  • A passion for emerging technologies and experience with risk and control processes
  • English spoken & written (advanced level)
  • Exposure to the regulatory expectations on Technology & Resilience risks is a plus
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, e.g. COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27000 will be an additional asset
  • Relevant risk qualifications confirmed by the certification would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite (e.g. CISA, CRISC, CISM).
