About this opportunity

Welcome to the BCCM Analysis & Continuity Planning team. In this role, you will report to the Business Continuity & Crisis Management (BCCM) Analysis & Continuity Planning team, responsible for developing and implementing plans and strategies to ensure that Nordea can continue to operate and recover from any potential disruptions or crises. Together with the rest of our larger department, you will be part of our Business Continuity and Crisis Management line organization in Nordea – a vibrant, diverse and international team of 38 individuals who work together and are part of ensuring that Nordea remains a safe, resilient, and trusted bank for our customers. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Play a key role in further development and refinement of Critical and Important Function (CIF) assessment methodology and execution
  • Support in the identification of CIFs across the group based on agreed methodology and assessment criteria in collaboration with the business
  • Inform and develop CIF documentation as part of CIF implementation
  • Train key personnel across the organization on CIFs, assessment approach and expected outcomes to ensure methodology is well embedded across Nordea
  • Support business to select and map processes in accordance with business architecture
  • Perform quality assurance checks on the assessments to ensure that the impact criteria and expected tolerance levels are applied in line with the methodology
  • Contribute to related projects by supporting the Digital Operational Resilience Acts (DORA) teams and projects in next steps for the BCCM line organization


The role is based in Helsinki; Oslo; Stockholm; Warszawa.

Your experience and background: 

  • Strong in strategic narrative creation combined with effective visual/graphic communication  
  • Strong understanding of the product and service landscape of financial institutions 
  • Good knowledge and/or experience in the following would be a plus: Banking/Finance sector, Business Continuity Management, Business Architecture, Data Modelling, Business Process Mapping
