About this opportunity

Welcome to the Financial & Tax Reporting team. We are controlling, analysing and reporting financial numbers related to Markets and Treasury areas. As a Senior/Lead Controller you’ll play a valuable role in top quality analyses and reporting, understanding various aspects of finance and tax and be part of  improving processes and enabling the finance domain to reach the next level. Currently we are looking to strengthen particularly our transfer pricing and notes and disclosures processes. Depending on your experience the role is either Senior or Lead Controller.

What are we doing in the team:

  • We are delivering to our monthly closing process of financial reporting in Nordea.
  • We produce notes and disclosures related to traded financial instruments and implement new requirements to our reporting.
  • We are responsible for Markets transfer pricing.
  • We are responsible for dividend and withholding tax data and have an on-going dialogue with Group Tax.
  • We manage regulatory fee processes including resolution fee and ECB fee. We collaborate with local country CFO teams and IT.
  • We are SMEs in various projects and audits.


You’ll join a cross border team of 6 people located in Warsaw and Helsinki. The role is based in Warsaw.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have/are:

  • Have an extensive experience in working with financial data, with understanding of business processes and development.
  • Have a solid knowledge of financial instruments.
  • Have knowledge and experience about transfer pricing and/or other tax reporting.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Have an academic degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent.
  • Are skilled Microsoft Office user. Experience in SAP, HFM, SQL and most common reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Are proactive and willing to speak up and propose initiatives and ideas based upon your ability to analyse complex issues.
  • Have strong communication skills and are fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Are a team player with positive attitude.
