About this opportunity
As the Student Assistant in the Market Data & Valuation area, you’ll ensure that the market data used to value Nordea’s assets are correct and in line with the market and you will be given a unique opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge on the valuation of financial instruments and derivatives.
In the department, we are responsible for the management, adjustment and controlling of the market data and the valuation of Nordea’s securities and derivatives in the trading portfolio.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing the controlling and distribution of market data
- Following-up and analysing controls and valuation adjustment calculations on a daily basis through extensive interaction with internal stakeholders (Trading, IT, Risk organization etc.)
- Participating in the continuous development of controls by proposing new ideas or increasing efficiency
- Interacting with internal consumers of market data, control departments, IT and other stakeholder
The job is a part-time job for university students of finance, engineering, mathematics or similar fields. The role is based in Warsaw. Welcome to a team of valuation experts working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Your background:
- You are studying in a Bachelor's or Master's program in finance, engineering or mathematics (or similar) with more than 1 year left of your studies
- You have a great interest in the financial markets and the valuation of financial instruments & financial derivatives
- You are an excellent Excel user and have a very strong interest in programming (Python, SQL, VBA)
- You have excellent communication skills and speak and write English at a very good level
- You are reliable and committed during periods of increased workload
